Empowerment & CSI

Citrine is fully committed to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) process in South Africa and supports all of the government’s transformation and growth objectives.

In line with this, we strive to create wealth and economic opportunities for Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDIs) through employment equity goals, community involvement and support of informal and SME black businesses.

Our affirmative procurement and social responsibility programmes uphold government’s mandate to encourage the participation of communities and regional businesses in the economy.

We support affirmative procurement, wherever possible, by sourcing from SMMEs and emerging companies - particularly those owned by black men and women. Over time, we have developed a network of partners to whom we sub-contract or support in various other ways.

As testament to our success, Citrine holds a BBBEE rating from Empowerdex of a Level One AAA+ Contributor.
